Help queer volleyball players to Amsterdam!

During the Easter weekend of 2024, the ladies teams of Netzo Queer Volleyball Amsterdam are organizing this year's European Lesbian Volleyball Tournament (EULEVOTO). This tournament is a tradition going back to the 1980s, during which lesbian, queer and trans women can come together to play volleyball and enjoy a fun weekend with a community of like-minded people. We are excited that this year's version is in Amsterdam, as we are proud of the safe, lesbian & queer-friendly environment of Amsterdam and would like all players from Europe to be able to experience this.

This year, 25 teams are interested in coming to the Netherlands for the tournament from 7 different countries. Because Amsterdam is one of the more expensive cities in Europe, the associated costs of travel, participation fees, and housing are too much for some of the players. Without help, they will not be able to join us this weekend.

As the organizing tournament committee, we want to support our community and help them be able to come to Amsterdam. We are striving to organize an accessible tournament that all who want to join can join. Money raised will go towards travel expenses, a discount on the tournament fee, and accommodation to make our tournament accessible for all players who need help with the costs. Any leftover/unused money will go towards helping players attend the tournament in whatever European city it will be organized next year.
