As most of you know, I do not really share too many personal things on Facebook. I have shared some dark moments, but have not ever gone into detail about some of my dark feelings. In this instance, I need to share in detail. This week has been a nightmare in my family! My brother-in-law Alex, my beautiful sister's husband, severely suffered from bi-polar and this week he took his own life. This is beyond sad for us!!
My sister Christine is the strongest and most selfless woman I know!! She has helped me many times, every member of my family, and so many others as well. Whenever I needed her, she was there. Now, she needs my help. Besides the extreme emotional loss she is enduring, she is now left to support herself, her 4 children (Matthew, Nicholas, Christopher, and Emma) and my 83 year old dad (Daniel), alone and with only her income. There is no life insurance or any savings to speak of to assist.
To add to the burden, they were preparing to move out by October 4. The 3 bedroom house they have been renting for the last 5 years is being sold. The new owners have agreed to give her an extension, but she will still have to be out by the end of October. They had a place lined up, but now, she will not be able to afford the 3 bedroom home by herself. With 6 people in the home, they are trying to find a 3 bedroom. But, her income really only affords 1 bedroom. Even the 2 bedroom apartments or homes are out of reach for her and again, this is with an 83yr old, 2 teens, one grade school, and one preschool child.
Beyond her horrible grief, she has so many expenses and children she needs to still care for and keep as healthy as possible. Both of the vehicles her and her husband drove are in need of repair. She was already budgeting her money the best she could. She uses coupons and saves in any way possible. She knows how to go to CVS pharmacy and buy $60 worth of necessary items for only $5. She already watched every cent. Now, the cost of moving, the deposits, and everything else is way more than she can do alone!
I don't know how to ask, but, please, if you can help, in any way, will you? Anything you can provide will be so very much appreciated!!!! She will need help for both short and long term expenses.
This is such a nightmare! I am so so sad! I am sad for my own loss of my brother Alex (he never called me sister-in-law, just sister), so very sad for the loss for my sister, and for my nephews and nieces [he also had another 19 yr daughter (Ingrid) that does not live with my sister]. I am sad that my little niece Emma will not ever have her dad in her life. My heart is broken. My head is stressed.
