Eugene Van Der Merwe

Hi my name is Scott McPherson and i am raising money to defer medical expenses for Eugene Van Der Merwe and his family.

Gene was in a terrible Motor Bike accident on Tortola Sunday, January 23rd, 2023. He was immediately taken to the hospital where the doctors determined he has 7 broken ribs, a punctured Colon, a ruptured Spleen and severe internal Bleeding.

After several surgeries to patch his Colon and remove his Spleen and stop the internal bleeding Gene is responding well but is still in ICU

Eugene is a trooper he is a fighter. And with the love and support of his friends and family, he will get through this trying and testing time. however that support doesn't cover the bills that come from the extent of his injuries and its going to take months of therapy and no work. We ask for any donations of any amount to help us get him healthy again. All funds would be utilized to help cover his medicals, and daily living requirements until he can get healthy and back to work.

All donated funds donated to the specified account will be controlled and sent directly to the Van Der Merwe family.

On a personal note Gene and Jerry manage a boat for me in Tortola and my wife and I have come to know the family very well. These are good people and any of you that know Gene also know that he would drop whatever he was doing to help you! Now it is time we return the favor and help him
