Dear friends, family and supporters,

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to share the lost of our father, just a few months after losing our mother, both to a short battle with cancer.

On the morning of May 4th, 2023, beloved father, brother, and friend Eugene Brass lost his life due to colon cancer which spread quickly throughout his body. A few months prior in the early morning of October 27, 2022, his beloved wife, Kimberly Brass, also lost her life to kidney and bowel cancer.

Kim and Eugene met eachother in the late teens and got married on October 3, 1998. They have spent the last 24 years together building a beautiful life. Kimberly loved spending time with her grandchildren, she would take them to Mcdonalds and their extra circular activities. Her grandchildren were the biggest part of her life and brought a new joy to her. She was the person you could relay on to come watch your children and your children would love knowing it was her as she became gramma to all the little ones! Eugene loved spending time camping and could just live in the wilderness without utilities and be happy with what the land could give. He loved being out in the water from May to September. It did not bother him how cold the water got. He also enjoyed cooking big meals for holidays and special occassions. You could often find the two in the middle of the day watching the young and restless, even though Kim would fall alseep and Eugene would be the one watching it. She always would deny that she was not sleeping.

Due to the situation of losing both our parents in such a short amount of time. We still are paying for our mothers funeral and can't proceed with our fathers until we pay off our mothers as stated by the funeral home. Our family doesn't come from wealth and has struggled over the years trying to recoup from the loss of our brother to his battle with spina bifida. This put a strain on our mother mentally and she could not gain the desire to work as she suffered from deep depression, losing her first born son. Which slowly declined our mothers health until she passed away from cancer on October 27th, 2022. After losing his wife, Eugene, also started to decline quickly. He struggled with the coping of the loss of his first and only true love and was never able to return to work due to his health. On April 30th, he started puking blood and was not able to stand on his own. His family called 911 and had him transported to the hospital where they discovered he had end stage colon cancer and was given just a few days to live. Eugene choose to live his last few days in the comfort of his home surrounded by his children.

Between the two of them, they had a big family of ten children (Kyline, Kelsi, Kendra, Nathaniel, Karl, Jessie, Chloe, Hunter, Kaden, and Ayden). However, they leave behind three younger children aged 10, 12 and 14 in the care of immediate family. Kim was exicited and happy for the newest arrival to the family her second born grandson which she sadly never got to met, little Shemar. Both of our parents, unfortunately won't be able to attend their 4th oldest daughers wedding this upcoming June.

That's why I am reaching out to you today. I am humbly asking for your help to raise the funds we need to cover the cost of both our parents funeral. Your generosity would mean the world to us as we greive during this time. Please, if you can, donate whatever you can spare. Every dollar counts, and your kindness would mean the world to our family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Sincerely,
Jessie, Kelsi and their entire family
