We are an autonomous group of concerned NYC Alamo employees, looking to raise money for our unjustly & illegally laid off coworkers while we fight to get their jobs back.

Alamo announced their intent to do layoffs on January 14th, while simultaneously laying off 25% of the company, effective immediately at their non-unionized locations. They have failed to prove financial necessity and our union, NYC Alamo United, (@nycalamounited on instagram) has filed an unfair labor practice charge against them.

For clarity's sake, this money will be withdrawn by Rachel Leffers and will be distributed to all of the laid-off Alamo workers by the mutual aid group formed of concerned coworkers. We know who was laid off based on a list of names provided by the Alamo Drafthouse to the NYC Alamo United's bargaining committee. We have reached out to every individual who was laid off with a form that assesses people's financial stability or financial need at this time.
