This page has been created by me (Loreen), a close family friend of Haley and Peter, after many people asked how they could support them during this incredibly challenging medical journey.

Haley is a young mum to two beautiful girls, aged 5 and 6. She was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and has already endured four intensive cycles of chemotherapy. She is now preparing for a bone marrow transplant in February, which will require a grueling six week (or longer) stay in hospital. After the transplant, she will face a 100-day recovery period where her immune system will be extremely fragile as her body adjusts to the new stem cells. During this time, Haley will be unable to care for herself and will need significant support.

One of the most meaningful ways we can help this young family is by giving Haley the gift of time with her husband, Pete. Financial support will allow Pete to reduce his work hours so he can be by Haley’s side throughout her hospital stay and spend precious time with their girls. There are also ongoing travel costs for the 40-minute trip to the hospital, including tolls and parking fees, which add up quickly.
