Haven, who is only 7 years old, was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis earlier this week. On Sunday, September 15th, he hit an already existing bump on his head and ended up in the emergency room. Doctors preformed emergency brain surgery to remove the mass on the 16th and did biopsies of the mass. Amber received a call this Monday, Sept 23, that it was determined to be cancerous.Haven and his mother Amber, 32, live in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Haven will be receiving medical treatment in Omaha. Exact treatment is unknown at this time, but at the minimal he will be getting a port put in, weekley chemo type medication for 6 weeks and then every 3 weeks after for a year.
Amber & Haven do not have the best insurance and what they do have was already used for Haven's brain surgery last week. We have set this up to help relieve some stress for the two of them with their upcoming medical treatments. We are asking for you to please keep them and their family in your prayers during this difficult time.
