My dad, Glenn, is currently in the hospital fighting throat cancer. He has no health insurance and has already undergone two surgeries, with at least one more still ahead to remove his voice box. As if that wasn’t enough, doctors have now found another mass on his kidney, bringing even more uncertainty and fear. Our family is not one that usually asks for help, but the financial strain has become overwhelming. We are trying to cover daily expenses such as medical supplies, food, parking fees, gas for traveling back and forth to the hospital, and other unexpected costs that come with a long hospital stay.
