As many of you know my mom Sheila has been going through the biggest struggle of her life; and you wouldn't even know it. She is the rock in our family and the sole provider for my dad and herself. Little did we know in the past few months the role had to be reversed. Back on May 6th my mom was sent to the emergency room. She had pneumonia and bronchitis.
Upon arriving at the ER they took her in and did X-rays. The next thing to come out of the drs mouth would be life changing for all of us. They told her she had a mass on her vena cava and a spot on her lungs. It was cancer, but they didn't know what kind. She then was admitted into the hospital and underwent testing. This was the week of pure hell. We were unsure what was going to happen next. She was poked and prodded so many times. We found out on wednesday May 8th it was small cell lung cancer and it had metastasized into one lymph node. They were going to start chemotherapy ASAP, the next day.
She has had to endure lots of pain and agony on this journey; but never alone. We’ve done the best we could to support in many ways; emotionally, physically and financially. But this is where ya’ll come in… My mom spends 5 days a week in oncology fighting her absolute hardest…and it’s taken a toll on her. She not only has lung cancer but bills upon bills to pay. The 6 sessions of chemo, 30 rounds of radiation , 2 blood transfusions and paying her own health insurance because she's not working. We started this GoFund page for her to get help. She herself would never ask for financial help but we all need help sometimes.
Funds raised will go to help her pay for medical expenses; and day to day bills.
Please help any way you can even if its not financially.
Thank you for your support!
