Help Nerian Finish Her Studies

Donation protected

This campaign is done on behalf of Nerian Smith, a final year student at the Northern CaribbeanUniversity in Jamaica. Please see below to find out a little about her.

“My name is Nerian Smith. I am going to begin my fourth year at the Northern Caribbean University in January 2021. I am requesting financial assistance to make my dreams become a reality. I am a kind, caring and determined young lady aspiring to become an English Language teacher. It is my greatest desire to assist students to become competent in written and oral English skills. I believe every child can excel and do well if given the opportunity. I am an active student at my university who is involved in extracurricular clubs and is the Vice President of Social Affairs for the Central Jamaica Conference club.

I have been performing exceptionally well and maintaining a Grade Point Average(G.P.A) over 3.0. I exert my best effort in everything I do and I know that my hard work will pay off. I am also an active member of my church and have been serving in various capacities throughout the years such as the Assistant Adventist Youth Leader and secretary for the church.

I started university in 2017 with some assistance from my uncle then I received help through scholarships, sponsorship and the Student Loan Bureau. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I no longer have any guarantors to proceed with the Student Loan Bureau. I usually work and study but my health deteriorated and I was advised by the medical doctors to quit my job. Both my parents are unemployed and the outbreak of the Coronavirus made it even more challenging to find employment.

This is my final year and I am appealing to everyone to please assist me in whatever way they can. It does not matter how small it is because every penny counts and I will be extremely grateful for any financial assistance that I can get. Please help me to fulfil my dream of becoming a teacher. This will allow me to mould the young minds of our future generation for them to become equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to become successful individuals who will make a positive impact in our society.

I strongly believe that each one can reach one and I intend to give back by assisting needy students who reside from a poor socio-economic background just like me. Please help me so I can help to make a difference. Thank you.”
