Saving Kayak's Life

This magnificent, young yak, named Kayak, is set to be slaughtered tomorrow morning!!!! He is here in Philomath, Oregon, and I am raising money to save his life. He is three years old and has "fulfilled his purpose" (impregnating the herd), so he is scheduled for "harvest". The farmer is willing to sell him to me for $6000 and says he'd much rather see him live than die, but that they cannot keep him. I have bargained for extra time and have scheduled the vet to do his castration on Monday. I have also paid a $3000 deposit to get his slaughter canceled. The castration with tranquilizer will cost $400. We have found him a forever home where he can be safe and live out his life with the majestic dignity he deserves. We have budgeted $1600 for his transport and immediate needs following his rescue. Please help me make this happen!!! Thank you all so much. May all beings benefit!
