Why? Why? Why would anyone do this to a creature so noble?

How can someone allow an animal to reach a state like this… without their conscience shaking?

It’s heartbreaking. It makes you want to cry just seeing him, just taking in the condition he’s in. It got to the point that the police called us because they thought he was already dead.

And the saddest part is that, in a way, he had given up too. He had been abandoned—and he had also abandoned himself. He had stopped fighting. It’s not only his body that hurts… it’s that look in his eyes, as if he no longer expected anything from life.

It’s so sad… so deeply sad.

Now all we can do is what we know: try to heal his body, step by step, and with time—if life allows—try to mend the wounds that were left on his soul.
