Give Short Film Festivals A "Bisexual Crisis!!!"
Donation protected
"Bisexual Crisis!!!" is the most recent Donkey Tail production, directed by Lyndon Henley Hanrahan, co-written by Lyndon Henley Hanrahan and Nora Dahle Borchgrevink — and starring the same.
Our previous short film, "I Hope He Doesn't Kill Me.", is currently playing on Channel 4 after being nominated for the world's largest queer short film prize, the Iris Prize. It has reached over 600.000 views on YouTube, and has played at Oscar-, Bafta- and BIFA-qualifying festivals around the world.
"Bisexual Crisis!!!" premiered at BFI's queer film festival, BFI Flare, in March 2025, and has received great reviews by Voice Magazine and by festivalgoers on Letterboxd. The short film will next play at the Oscar-qualifying Norwegian Short Film Festival, where it was selected as one of 156 films from a pool of 4000 submissions.
We are so excited by the initial response to our new short film! We want to get it to international audiences, and build on the success of "I Hope He Doesn't Kill Me." - both so people around the world can see our short film, and to give legs to the TV-pilot that Lyndon, Nora and Fergus Burnand have written, thematically linked to our shorts.
The only thing in our way: Money! Short film festival submissions are expensive. We have curated a list of about 30 film festivals that we want to submit to, and one submission is between £15-50. Please consider helping "Bisexual Crisis!!!" with a pound or ten! Let's paint the short film festival circuit sexually confused.
