In December 2018, my wife, Ann, was diagnosed with a well differentiated neuroendocrine cancerous tumor in her pancreas with metastases to liver at 49 years of age. This critical diagnosis was discovered by accident through a routine test for a minor issue. Our family, Ann, myself, Steven, and our teenaged daughter, Megan are stunned and devastated. Our lives have been turned upside down emotionally and financially.
Any survivor of a life-changing diagnosis knows that everything you've worked for all your life can literally vanish overnight. Although we were a two income family, our finances are wiped out and Ann, who has worked hard and consistently for over twenty-five years, will receive only a small percentage of her former salary on short-term disability, which puts our family in the red each month. As most families today, my salary alone will not cover our monthly expenses. We need and want to stay in our apartment so Ann and Megan can be safe and a have a sense of stability while Ann goes through her treatments. We would be humbled by any donations that are within your means, for our basic survival needs, such as rent, food, medical expenses, and transportation, etc.
My wife and I have worked all our lives and have never asked for assistance from anyone, until now. And, just when you need assistance the most, you discover that there is truly no help for the critically ill. Please consider donating to help our much loved Ann.
Thank you in advance,
