In lieu of flowers, donations to Captain Bill's Memorial Fund will directly benefit Palliative Care Services at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center.
Wilburn C. Hall, Jr., “Captain Bill”, was born June 30, 1941 in Pilot Point, Texas to Wilburn Clay and Fern (Pennington) Hall. He passed at the age of 74 on February 22, 2016. Bill joined the United States Army in 1964 and left the service as a Captain in Special Intelligence five years later. The name “Captain Bill” has stuck ever since.
A very proud American veteran, Captain Bill, who had been undergoing treatment at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, was in the Palliative Care Unit when he passed on the 22nd of February, surrounded by his loving family.
Volunteer services at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center offer support and comfort to those brave men and women who have fought for America. The Palliative Care Unit assists military and their families with management of their physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
