Please help me with my kidney transplant

Hello, my name is Melvia Jenkins. I’m a 36 year old mother of 3 beautiful kids. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was 18 years old. This has caused my kidneys to fail, and I have been undergoing dialysis. My body is becoming tired, and it is time for me to get a transplant so that I can have a better quality of life. My children tell me everyday that they can’t wait for me to get better so that I can do more “fun” things with them. There is a lot of mental and physical strength needed to receive a transplant, as well as a-lot of expenses. It typically takes the recipient around 3 months to recover. That’s 3 months worth of expenses for myself, to care for my children, and also the people that will need to take time off work to ensure my healing. I have a living donor that is willing to sacrifice his kidney for me, and he will need money to recoup his expenses while he’s recovering. He will be recovering for 8 weeks, and therefore won’t be able to work during that time. I also have a family member that is traveling from several states away, and taking time off her job to help me. She will need help with expenses since she will not be working while she supports my recovery. During my time of recuperation, I will not be allowed to be around my children for the full 3 months, because there’s a risk of kids spreading illness to the patient. Therefore, my mother will have to care for them around the clock, and won’t be able to work during that time either. We all know children are very expensive creatures, and I don’t want to stress or worry that they won’t have what they need. It will already be hard enough not being able to be around them. I will need gas money because I will have to be taken back and forth to the doctor several times a week. Some of my medication will also have to be paid for out of pocket. There are also other procedures and tests that I need done to even be able to have the surgery, some of which is not covered by my insurance. These are just some of the things that has to be covered, but there is much more, and the costs will add up quickly. Anything anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.
