Charlie's Cause

Hi, my name is Beverly, Aunt BB, and I am raising funds for my nephew's mom and dad. Charlie, my 20 month old nephew, was born with NasoFrontal Encephalocele. He had a major surgery last month to seal the spinal fluid leak. However, this caused swelling to his brain that has triggered multiple, daily seizures.

Charlie is currently on his 3rd stay at Levine's Children's Hospital and for this trip he is on his 6th concurrent day at the hospital.

His mom has not left the hospital for a second and his dad leaves for a short time only when necessary.

This funding will go towards unpaid medical expenses, and my brother and sister-in-law's bills since they have lost a lot of work to be by Charlie's side.

His parents are big givers but it's not easy for them to ask for or accept help. They are not paid when they are out of work and they have to be extra careful for months while Charlie's brain heals. The surgery was planned but the emergency trips to Levine due to his seizures was unforeseen.

This precious baby has been such a trooper throughout it all. We love our Charlie and are so thankful for him. He brings us such joy!!

Update: Charlie came home from the hospital for half a day Friday, had 17 seizures, and went back in the hospital.
