My Story: Help Omar Escape the Shadows of War and Build a Brighter Future

Hello, my name is Rahaf Hani Abu Khadija. I’m a Palestinian currently residing in Jordan, but my heart aches daily for my family in Gaza, especially for my 5-year-old cousin, Omar, who lives in North Gaza with his parents.

Who I Am Supporting:

Right now, my family is living through the terrifying reality of being under attack in Gaza, and it’s hard to put into words the fear and uncertainty that surrounds us every day. At the heart of my worries is my cousin, Omar. He is only 5 years old—an age when children should be full of wonder, learning, and playing. But instead of enjoying the simple joys of childhood, Omar wakes up to the sounds of chaos, wondering if tomorrow will be any different.

Omar dreams of going to school, learning to read, and becoming something great, but with each passing day, the opportunity for him to experience a normal education slips further away. The conflict is not just stealing his childhood, it’s stealing his future.

How the Funds Will Be Used:

I’m starting this campaign because I want to give Omar a chance to reclaim some of what has been lost.

I want to raise enough to ensure he can continue his education, no matter the circumstances around him. Your donation will not only help us provide the resources and safety Omar needs, but it will also be a step toward rebuilding hope for a child who deserves so much more.

How I Plan to Get the Funds to Them:

I will utilize secure methods of transferring the funds to them, making sure that every dollar donated is accounted for and used for its intended purpose. The person that the money will be transferred to is their relative that is currently living in the United States, Hani Sochi Alshaikh.
