Strider’s Memorial Project and Charity.
Donation protected
I had to make the most difficult decision of my life this weekend. I will never be the same again. But it was time, and Strider is now at peace.
I know when a loved one dies, everyone always offers: “If there’s anything I can do, please let me know.” Well, here’s something you can do:
I’ve always had a plan to do something educational with his bones if the day ever came. They are currently being processed by a professional as I did not want to have to do it myself. After that, I want to 3D scan and cast them to use them for comparative science, and also one day make a display of a dog burial excavation with his remains. Everything else is being cremated and I'll be placing his ashes into a custom canopic Anubis jar being hand-made in Egypt. His ashes will then rest on a mantle alongside the rest of my animals with my family.
Since all of you helped me build this account and create a career out of it, I would love for you to help. I only need so much for the project (not entirely sure how much yet) so I will donate any extra to charity. I’ve set the goal high to make sure there is plenty to donate.
If you decide to leave your name, I will add it to the list of donors on the finished project.
The charity I have worked with in the past is the Native American Humane Society, which helps stray animals on American Indian reservations get veterinary care and find homes. I have spoken with a lawyer that works for the charity and I know the funds will go to good use.
Thank you again. I will post more about him as soon as I collect my thoughts.
