I’m Sonia Harvey, working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of Orphan children.
Meet Ethlyn Cowan! A one woman miracle, inspired by how $1000 made such a difference in the lives of children in Kisumu. 15 years ago Ethlyn was doing her Practicum in Kenya… she spent $1,000 on everyday needs for the Children of Kisumu, she saw the impact… fast forward to now, for 15 years, every single year she has single handedly spearheaded a medical mission trip back to the village. She raised money and built “ ETHLYN’s HOPE CENTER ” a buildings that houses up to 26 children. They are orphans, nearly orphans and very poor. She takes them in from birth and they stay until they age out at 18 years old. EHTLYN’S HOPE CENTER is now a fully certified 501C charity that makes a difference in the lives of children on a continual basis. Ethlyn, works tirelessly all year, raising funds to feed, clothes, nurture & educates the children.
Once a year she’s reaches out for volunteers to join her on the medical mission trip. She gathers together, doctors, nurses, dentists and non-medical personnel to serve the children and the community for an entire week in every type of basic healthcare and screening.
2024 medical mission served over 1,000 people. I am one of the volunteers for the 2025 medical mission. I am reaching out for help to raise $$10,000 for ETHLYN’S HOPE CENTER -No amount is too small, whatever you can give, please chip-in $20, $30, $50, $100, $1,000 any amount will have an impact in the lives of the children.
