Right now, 200 bright, eager children in Accra, Ghana are learning in classrooms made of thin plywood. When it rains, lessons stop. When the wind blows, walls tremble. In the heat, the rooms become unbearably hot. Yet the children still show up every day – eager to learn in classrooms that could collapse.
For many of these children – the sons and daughters of market women and petty traders – this is their only chance at education. But their classrooms are crumbling.
Your generosity can help turn a dangerous plywood classroom into a safe, permanent space for a child to learn, dream, and thrive.
Our journey
Three years ago, this school was on the brink of collapse: the roof leaked whenever it rained; the only toilet was a smelly, broken KVIP; desks were falling apart and unsafe; blackboards were cracked, and computers were non-existent.
It was at this point that my wife and I stepped in, not as wealthy investors, but as two people determined to give these children hope. We renamed it Ethical Leaders Lyceum, with a mission to raise ethical, educated, and empowered children who would one day become the honest, principled leaders Ghana and Africa so desperately need. Since then, with love and personal sacrifice, we have:
• Built a new 5-classroom block and offices
• Replaced the broken toilet with clean, flushing facilities
• Introduced ICT lessons with new computers
• Furnished classrooms with sturdy desks and whiteboards
Today, our classrooms are filled with laughter, learning, and the sound of children reading aloud – children who now have hope for a brighter future. But 12 of our classrooms remain unsafe - they are still made of light plywood – unstable, unsafe, and exposed to the weather.
Our goal
The truth is, we have reached the limit of what we can do alone. Now, we need your help to replace these old plywood structures with a permanent, modern 12-classroom block and build a small playground so our children can learn and play in safety.
The project will be completed in four phases, making it easier to manage and allowing us to show progress to our donors at every stage.
Why This Matters
This is more than just a building project. It’s about:
• Safety – Giving children a secure learning environment protected from harsh weather.
• Dignity – Providing a proper school facility that inspires pride and self-worth.
• Opportunity – Creating a space that encourages learning, curiosity, and ambition.
• Community impact – Educating ethical leaders who are already uplifting their communities.
Every child deserves to sit in a classroom that doesn’t leak when it rains, that doesn’t tremble in the wind, and that has a safe place to play. Your support makes this possible.

A Final Word
The longer we wait, the more these children have to endure unsafe learning conditions, and every day in these fragile classrooms is a risk. We’ve done all we can alone - now we need you. Together, we can give these children a safe learning environment that will become a symbol of hope and opportunity.
The children of Ethical Leaders Lyceum are ready to learn, ready to grow, and ready to lead. Will you help build the space they need to achieve their dreams?
