Hi everyone,

We are absolutely bursting with pride to share that Ethan has been selected as a goalkeeper to represent Queensland in the upcoming Under 16 Emerging Socceroos State Championships!

This is such a massive achievement for him. For the past two years, Ethan has been named in the shadow squad, so to see him finally break through and get selected this year is incredibly special. He’s worked so hard for this—on and off the field.

After last season, he took on all the feedback from his coaches and set himself the goal to improve in every area. He’s spent the past year pushing himself—getting stronger, faster, more focused, and more confident in his role as a keeper.

We’ve watched Ethan rise to challenges that go far beyond just football. Being a goalkeeper means having to communicate clearly and lead from the back—something that hasn’t always come naturally to him. But he’s stepped up in such a big way. The growth in his confidence, presence, and leadership has been amazing to watch.

From starting out as a little keeper back in Croxley Green in the UK, to now pulling on the maroon and representing his state—what a journey it's been so far.

Of course, as proud as we are, we’ve also now been hit with the reality of what it takes to get him there. With extra training camps, travel, accommodation, and everything in between, we’re looking at a cost of around $5,000—and we’ve only got a short time to pull that together.
