Ethan's 3 Week Expedition to Borneo

On the 28th December this year, I will be going on an exciting  school expedition to Borneo, for 3 weeks,  one of the world’s most stunning natural gardens – a unique ecosystem of vibrant jungle and unexplored tropical wilderness, teeming with exotic wildlife.  I will be travelling with school friends and Camps International Australia. 

I will visit the world-renowned Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary where I’ll see orphaned and injured orangutans before they are released back into the wild. I will take a commute to my daily project work within a local village, on board a boat down the Kinabatangan River, where I expect to be able to spot wildlife along the banks!

Then I will be going on a 4-5 day trek through the jungle, surrounded by exotic wildlife. I get to sleep in a hammock beneath a jungle canopy and  I will also visit memorials to World War II soldiers. During my trek I also have the chance to learn jungle first aid and survival techniques whilst learning local traditional skills.  

All funds I raise here will be used to buy the resources required for the projects that I will be working on. 

Please help me get there!  I promised Mum & Dad that I would raise $3000 towards resources, I will be holding a number of fundraising events during the year to do this and any help you can give me towards my overall goal will be great.
