Ethan Scott Cancer fund
Donation protected
Hello, I am Randy Scott. On Halloween this year, 2016 my wife and I got a call that no one ever expects to get. My daughter in law said our grandson, Ethan, who is eight years old had fallen over and began to vomit violently. She rushed him to the emergency room and was told Ethan had a tumor on his brain and that he had to be flown to children’s hospital in Dallas. They told us he was literally days from death. His brain pressure was many times higher than it should be. It was so bad they moved his surgery up a whole day. They live near the town of Tyler Texas. My son, Ethan’s father, is a truck driver who has been struggling for the last several years. He has not been able to buy health insurance because of the affordable care act, in fact he has had to pay twenty five hundred dollar fines for the last two years. Their family has been living in a travel trailer for the last few years while he has been trying very hard to make a decent living for his family. He has yet to be able to afford health insurance. The bills have started rolling in. They are going to have at current estimate somewhere in the area of one hundred thousand dollars by the time his hospital, radiation and chemo treatments have been completed. All donations are going to be applied directly to the debt incurred for Ethan’s treatment, lodging, travel to and from their home town to Dallas and to help make ends meet as his father has had to take time off of work to be there as much as he can for his sons and family. We have been trying to be as supportive as possible but being all the way in southern California it is very difficult for us to be there. The prayers and thoughts have all been so appreciated but we do have to address the expenses now. Our family is doing what we can but we are limited too. I have given my time and support but I feel so helpless that I don't have the ability to contribute more financially. It would mean the world to our family for your gift of any amount to help this family to get through this difficult time. Cancer does not care who the victim is. I will be eternally grateful for your support and I know they will be also.
