Ethan & Sam's Three Peak Challenge
Donation protected
On the 18th May this year, we completed the Three Peaks Challenge to try and raise money for Cancer Research UK and Parkinsons UK.
These charities are close to both of our hearts, after losing Ethan's mother (Sam's Auntie) Yvette to cancer in 2011, and our Grandad David in 2021 who suffered from Parkinsons.
We have climbed these mountains individually with Yvette, David & our family when we were younger, and would now like to take on this challenge to complete all 3 Peaks in 24 hours, in honour of them.
All generosity and all donations are greatly appreciated, the work that these charities do is amazing and so needed - we would love to be able to raise as much money as possible for them, so that they can keep doing the fantastic work that they do.
All funds raised will be donated upon the completion of the challenge. The total amount will be split evenly between the two charities:
- Cancer Research UK https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/
- Parkinson's UK https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/
What is the Three Peaks Challenge?
The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. The three peaks are: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. The 24 hours includes time to climb each mountain consecutively, and travel from Scotland, through England, to Wales by car.
The total distance walked is estimated between 42-44km (26-27 miles) with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).
