Ethan Mountain Bike Crash

Hello Everyone,

As you may have heard, I managed to injure myself while mountain biking. The full story is, I was on an easy mountain bike ride with my roommate and across the street neighbor. All the trails, routes and features were routine to me. While rolling across a narrow log bridge on a trail called Afternoon Delight, I rolled off the right side and somehow managed to face plant onto the log.

Thankfully, I was wearing a helmet. Bruised proof is etched into my forehead in pictures provided. Amazingly, I have been able to walk away from a Fractured maxillary sinus (broken upper jaw), Non-displaced nasal fracture and ripped septum (broken/torn nose), and Deviated/fractured larynx (broken voice-box).

Luckily so far, thanks to my skilled ENT, Dentist and Endodontist, no teeth have yet been lost. I am still awaiting an appointment with an Oral surgeon to move my front teeth back into proper placement.

I want to thank my parents for flying out and helping me when I couldn’t speak. I want to thank my wonderful friends for visiting me, providing me with soft foods I can eat and for advocating that I start a Go Fund Me account. Thank you for any help you can give me towards continuing medical expenses. I really appreciate all of you.

Thank you
-Ethan
