Ethan Huner-Expenses Following Hiking Accident
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chanelle and I am one of Ethan's co-workers and friend. I have created this fundraiser on behalf of all of Ethan's co-workers at the Algonquin's of Ontario Consultation Office to help Ethan during this uncertain time.
In early June, while out hiking in the Bancroft area, Ethan sustained an unthinkable fall to the bottom of a 50 foot cliff. Ethan was airlifted to the Kingston Hospital, where he remains. He has suffered a severely broken pelvis, ribs, sternum, shoulder as well as fractured his spine and had a collapsed lung. Ethan has since had his lung repaired and has undergone extensive pelvic surgery. Unfortunately, Ethan is only at the very begining of his long journey to rehabilitation.
As you can imagine, these uncertain times can be stressful when there is worry about being away from work long-term, travel costs (Ethan's parents have travelled to be with him and are currently staying in a motel while he is in Kingston) and rehabilitation services that go beyond the little amount that private insurance will cover.
Ethan is a loving, caring and dedicated co-worker, friend, father and son. He has been such a positive force in so many people's lives. Now it is our turn to support Ethan when he needs us most.
