Ethan's Journey - Road to Recovery for Ethan Freeborn
Donation protected
On September 12, 2024, while working on a vehicle, Ethan suffered a severe accidental injury. He suffered a fractured jaw, a fracture of the vertebrae at C1 and C2, and a spinal cord injury. It is likely that he will remain paralyzed in some capacity, the extent of which is unknown at this time. This will be a long journey for Ethan and the doctors tell us that it may be up to one year before the full extent of his injuries is known.
Ethan is currently sedated, medicated for pain, and is being supported by a ventilator. He will be undergoing surgery to repair his jaw fractures on September 19, 2024.
Ethan's journey will likely have long term financial requirements for the family. This may require specialty medical equipment, specialty vehicles, help with personal care when he comes home, potential home renovations to be able to bring him home, physical therapy, and more.
If you are at all able, please consider donating to the Freeborn family as this accident will have long standing impacts on all of them.
