Ethan "Boone" Nelson Memorial Fundraiser

The Nelson family has experienced more tragedy over the past few years than any family should ever go through. This week Amos and Alisha Nelson's son Ethan "Boone" Nelson went into cardiac arrest at the age of 6 and passed away on 8/15/23 at Primary Childrens Hospital. This was completely unexpected and he did not have any problems with his heart previous to this.

When Ethan was a baby they found out he was born with posterior urethral valves. The valves blocked urine from emptying into the bladder from the ureters. That caused urinary reflux, hydronephrosis, and severe kidney damage. He had surgery at 7 weeks old to bypass his bladder and buy him time until he could get a kidney transplant. He went to years of appointments, and dialysis, and had multiple procedures done. He finally got a kidney transplant in 2019.

The dad owns his own company and due to his previous medical history, he was uninsurable by private insurance and they did not have life insurance. They are now stuck with all the medical bills from his stay in the PICU this week, life flight, and funeral expenses. They need our help so that they are not burdened by the costs while grieving their perfect little boy. No amount is too small and every dollar will help their family in this time of need. All funds will go directly to the family to pay for the funeral, and medical expenses incurred.
