Ethan Bonilla

Our hearts are grieving a significant sudden loss.

Ethan Bonilla, son of Yvette and Juan Carlos Bonilla, passed away unexpectedly of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy on January 15, 2023. He was 22 years old.

Ethan was an extraordinarily compassionate, loving, caring, funny, and intelligent young man of 22 years with an unwavering commitment to his family and education. He led a faith-filled life together with his family. His early years at St. Thomas Apostle School and later at Cathedral Chapel School were impactful, forming the foundation of his character. He graduated Magna Cum-Laude from Loyola High School where he excelled effortlessly in every aspect of his high school life. In his free time he loved spending time with his family, talking to his Australian girlfriend, Crystal, writing songs, singing, playing the guitar, drawing and gaming with his friends. A recent Cum Laude Mechanical Engineer graduate from Loyola Marymount University in May, 2022, he was to embark on his first job as an M.E. at Garrett Advancing Motion at the end of January.
