Ethan Benjamin "Benji" Emergency Fund
Donation protected
On Friday evening, during the Homecoming football game, Ethan Benjamin "Benji" senior running back and middle linebacker, collapsed after kneeling for the opposing team's injured player. He was quickly airlifted to Harborview medical center where they discovered multiple brain bleeds. He went into surgery shortly thereafter, where they removed a large piece of his skull. Hours after surgery, he was sporadically responsive. A couple of hours later, he was able to respond to
commands and gave a thumbs up. They then slowly tested his ability to breathe on his own more and more and later that afternoon, his ventilator was removed and he was able to tell nurses who his family was. He will stay in Harborview for a week and then be transferred to Seattle Children's Hospital for rehab where he will be for approximately 3-5 weeks. Although doctors are happy with his progress thus far, he has a long road ahead of him. As you all know, gas prices are extremely expensive and the family will be traveling from Darrington to Seattle daily. We would like to lessen their burden and be able to provide gas cards as well as food for them. Please help in any way you are able. We want to show Benji and his family all the support we can and show them what true Darrington Loggers really are.
