Help Joann

No parent should ever have to face the tragedy of burying a child and at that, leaving behind 3 children to raise. Let alone for it to happen a second time, and once more, leaving 3 more children behind.
Yet that is exactly what has happened to Joann. In 2008, Joann’s daughter, Ericka, passed away of melanoma cancer, leaving 3 children behind that have since been raised by Joann (Mom-mom) and Norman (Poppy) after Ericka’s husband walked away leaving the children behind. Then, 4 years ago, Norman (Poppy) passed away after his own battle with colon cancer leaving "Mom-mom" alone with the 3 children.
That bring us to now. Sadly, once more, tragedy has struck Joann and her family, as her son Jason died of a sudden heart attack just a couple of days ago. Jason left behind 3 children, his mom and other family members to try and pick up the pieces. Jason was a devoted dad to his kids, loving them and doing all he could to provide. Jason was a truck driver for many years and loved every minute of following in his grandfather’s footsteps. Unfortunately, there was no insurance for Jason.
Joann lives on a fixed income as a senior in a 3-bedroom home and does all that she can to take care of her 6 grandchildren. Family does what family does, and everyone pitches in to help. Now, unfortunately, that family is smaller leaving Joann, and the kids to survive with the help of Joann’s other two children and oldest nephew. The reality is, as with many, funds have run short and yet Joann’s “immediate” family continues to grow.
With the challenges of finances as they are in our world now, now comes the challenge of 6 grandchildren that Joann is providing for. If there were ever a time to ask for help, it would be now.
Asking for any support or help that is possible.
If willing, please help Joann as she continues to help her grieving grandchildren, and as she continues to walk through the grief herself.
