Help for Brittany and David

As some of you know, Brittany has been suffering from chronic illness for more than 20 years and is unable to work due to her health. Along with Crohn’s disease, liver disease, and an autonomic nervous system disorder, she lives with chronic pain and struggles with mental health. In addition, she has been dealing with additional complications recently that have further impacted her quality of life.

Recently, her boyfriend David (who also suffers from Crohn’s Disease) was hospitalized with cellulitis, a serious bacterial skin infection. The infection was hard to beat and he needed many rounds of IV antibiotics to slow the progression of the infection. The hospital bills will exceed $8k, and his insurance will not cover the expense because he has already reached his maximum.

David is now home but will need to remain at home for several more weeks to ensure he can completely recover.

As a result, David has been unable to work for many weeks and the only source of income for Brittany and David has come to a halt. David is a hard worker; working 7 days a week as a driver for Uber Eats to provide for himself and Brittany. His employer does not provide him with any benefits or paid time off.

In addition to these challenges, Brittany and David have a 1 year old doggy named Archie who suffers from seizures and was recently diagnosed with a heart condition. The veterinarian expenses from this diagnosis have piled up, further increasing the financial burden Brittany and David are faced with.

Asking for financial support is incredibly difficult and for Brittany and David, this is really a last resort. Brittany’s family currently provides substantial support to Brittany and David, but it has become overwhelming. If you have ever felt compelled to help these two, now is the time, they need this village to support them through this tough time.

We are specifically asking for funds to support the following expenses while David is out of work:

Groceries

Medications and nutritional supplements (Brittany)

Car insurance

Rent

Gas

Vet Bills and medication

David’s hospital bills

The funds will go directly to Brittany and David and will be used for the expenses above.
