It's been a long time since I have done a plea for a dog, but Walter really needs our help. My dear friend Jackie was asked to foster a dog from the West Los Angeles County shelter who was not doing well at the shelter. They said he was 9 years old and as you know the kennel life is really hard on senior dogs, so she took him home and he absolutely loved being in a home. She noticed that he was straining to poop, oftentimes whimpering as he was hunched over and his poops were always borderline diarrhea. The County Shelter did not have the resources to find out what was wrong with him, so Jackie took it upon herself, at great expense, to help him. After multiple vet visits, it was determined that he has perianal fistulas and will need to be on medication until he is in remission and maybe for the rest of his life as well a hydrolyzed diet, both of which are very costly. He is not her dog, but she knew she had to help him. I am asking if the rescue village can help cover his expenses, which will be ongoing of about $700 a month until he is hopefully in remission. He deserves a life without pain and a chance to find his very own forever home. Please donate what you can and if a reputable 501c3 rescue steps up to take him, the balance will be given to that rescue.
