Hi Everyone,

I'm a friend of Patricia (Elibox) Thompson, or "Pat" as many of you know her. It breaks my heart to say this, but Pat is in a lot of pain every single day. And yet, she still pushes through and shows up with that magnetic smile that instantly makes you feel at ease. Watching her fight through this has been heartbreaking, but also incredibly inspiring.

If you're reading this, then you know Pat's infectious laugh, her big heart and warm jovial personality. She's more than just a friend; she's a force, a light, a mentor. She has touched so many lives with her kindness, her joy and her unforgettable personality.

But now, the woman who’s brought joy and strength to so many is quietly enduring a battle that no one should have to face.

Our Pat needs us!

Pat is battling a rare condition called Desmoid Tumors, a locally aggressive fibromatosis. These tumors are incredibly rare, affecting only 2 to 4 people per million each year. After enduring numerous surgeries followed by tumor regrowth, Pat is now facing a particularly unsettling situation: the tumors have reoccured and are close to her vital organs.

Patricia desperately needs Radiation Therapy to stop these tumors from spreading and threatening her life, as the Morphine she takes daily to regulate the pain and make her days a bit more manageable is not a long-term solution.

Sadly, medical insurance doesn't cover the cost because it is a pre-existing condition. We're aiming to raise a minimum of £45,000 to cover the radiation treatment, essential MRI/CT scans for before, during, and after treatment, blood work, critical medications, travel expenses, and the supportive care she needs to continue her fight. This financial burden is overwhelming, and she can't do it alone.

That's where we come in - her community, her extended family, her village.
