The Fonda family was severely effected early Sunday morning when Brett Fonda father of 2 young boys Liam and Olin was run off the road by an unknown person or persons.  He was left on the side of the road to die. He crawled a quarter of a mile dragging himself, probably causing more injury, through an unimaginable amount of pain for help in the wee hours of the morning in a desolate north country.
He is a quiet, keep to himself kind of man who loves and works hard for his  family. He  would never ask for help from anyone, but would help anyone in need.  He and his family need all the help they can get right now.
He is currently in Syracuse with 4 shattered vertebrates,  broken sternum and broken ribs. He has already undergone one surgery where they have removed the shattered pieces of his vertebrates and inserted multiple pins and rods within his spine.  This is the first of possibly, almost certainly many more surgeries to come. It is still unknown the amount of damage he has actually sustained.  This will be a long road of recovery with many obstacles to overcome without an end in sight at this time for the Fonda family. I ask for any donations to help his children and longtime girlfriend of 20yrs Jennifer Middlemiss get through this unexpected and trying time.  They will face upcoming medical bills, travel costs and lost wages for weeks and  the real possibility of months to come. It is still unclear if and when he will ever be able to provide for his family again.  Every little bit helps at this time.
