Hello everyone at the beginning of this year my mom Josefina Torres was diagnosed with liver cancer. She has recently been going back and forth from Goliad to Houston for the past 4 months for countless Dr visits and testing at Baylor St. Luke’s Hospital. We recently received good news that she was approved to be placed on the list for a liver transplant but as we all know the wait can be very long. In the meantime, she will be receiving radiation to control the tumor on her liver and to keep the cancer from spreading. To anyone who has gone through a similar situation you understand that insurance only covers a fraction of the cost and even though my mom still tries to work as much as her body will let her it’s still not enough to cover all her expenses. I am setting up this go fund me page to help raise money for the very long journey she still has ahead of her.
