My name is Esther Iancu, you may have previously known me as Iasmina. I've recently completed a Discipleship Training School at a missions organisation called Youth With A Mission, and I am now entering a season where I'll be a full time missionary.
I will be joining Staff at YWAM for a period of at least two years, pioneering a ministry on the Perth base. The ministry I will be a part of is called ‘The Resting Place’, which is a home for homeless girls and teen girls in crisis.
                Here's what it's all about:
Vision Statement: To create a home for young women to receive restorative care and equip them with the tools to live life abundantly.

Mission Statement: restoring hope, transforming lives.

We seek to restore hope to those who are hopeless. A journey to hope, an end to despair.

Target group: Girls between the age of 14-18 that are or at risk of homelesness.

The vision for the Resting Place is to establish a supportive and loving home for at risk girls between the ages of 14 – 18. The home will have four to six residents at a time and will be set up to provide physical, emotional, and social support in an environment that is safe and represents ‘family.' Our mission is to give them the support, resources and tools to succeed in every area of life.
       The House:

This home will run 24 hours, 7 days a week, in order to equip, encourage and empower young women with skills needed to live productive and healthy lives. Our home will provide New Beginning programs that will include the following: budgeting, sobriety management, conflict resolution, job skills training and work ethic, cooking/health/nutrition, problem solving, basic life skills, how to live in community, biblical training, and opportunities to serve within the local community. The New Beginning programs will be tailored towards each individual girl’s needs and goals. We will encourage each girl to finish their education.

The girls we would have come from rough backgrounds and are seeking shelter. Our job as staff members will be to mentor, disciple, do counselling, encourage, support, make meals, teach, take to school, build therapeutic relationship and love these girls. We will be working alongside the Esther foundation and the Department of Child Protection. All staff members will receive adequate training in areas such as trauma counselling, suicidal risk, eating disorders, mental health etc.

I will start my staffing next month, in February 2016. As YWAM Staff members, we will have staff fees that will be due monthly ($12 a day for our accommodation and meals and $100 per month for ministry purposes). That comes to approx. $472 per month as well as some additional transport fees and bills. The goal amount is $5192 because that's how much it would be for the whole year - both food and accomodation.
I’m wondering if you would be willing to wait on God and prayerfully consider partnering with me, whether it be monthly or just a once off.

Whether $20 or $50, it's ALL sowing into the Kingdom of God, so that we may see it come to Earth as it is in Heaven.

Thank you in advance!
Much love,

Esther
