Funeral Expenses: Estevan’s 3rd Fight Brain Cancer

Estevan fought so hard but gained his wings early this morning at 3:30am on May 19, 2022. We are now faced with laying him to rest. The funds raised now will be used for funeral expenses and having him a beautiful celebration of life.

Hi, my name is Jessica and I’m fundraising for my nephew Estevan who is fighting brain cancer a 3rd time and has been dealt a harder hand.

Estevan is a Warrior on all levels, he is a smart and resilient 20 year old that has battled cancer from a young age. As a 2 year old he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Leukemia is cancer of the blood or bonemarrow. His first battle began February of 2004, at the tender age of 27 months. He was in remission until the cancer returned when he was 5 years old. His toddler

sister, Maddie, became his life giving bone marrow donor at this time. This brave act not only gave a spark of hope but the physical capability to survive the years to come. At 14 years of age Estevan was diagnosed with

a brain tumor. This cancerous mass was removed via an intricate brain surgery December of 2015. He has been in remission since that time.

In 2020 Estevan's brain scans showed unknown

shadows that needed to be removed. Doctors were able to remove most of the"bad stuff". There were two risky areas that were untouchable due to detrimental effects to Estevan's body. He began a chemo regiment and it seemed to be working well.

2022 new scans showed the cancer has spread to the other side of the brain. The chemo is not working as well as they hoped. Estevan is trying an experimental cap treatment he wears almost all day that will target the areas of cancer. Just in a few weeks time he slid down hill and has been admitted to the hospital. His parents are by his side day and night. It’s a hard pill to swallow as a parent when there is a timeline on your child’s life. No child or parent should go through times like this.

Estevan's immediate family includes his parents,

German and Vanessa, and his sisters, Chelsea, Taylor,Madelyn and Bella. The family of Estevan, is asking for support to alleviate the finances created from all medical care necessary. Funds raised beyond the medical amount will continually help Estevan's family through the struggle of maintaining the household. As a family they have always found a way to make ends meet.
