Medical expenses for my 18 month nephew

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Kristina Garza, I never thought I would ever have to create a gofundme page, but here I am. I am humbly making this fundraiser for my brother and his family.
Due to unforeseen events, my nephew has had quite a bit of medical issues that started as something minor, or so we thought. At first, we didn't think much of it, but when he began getting unexplained bruises on his arms and legs and having nose bleeds and bleeding from his ears, we knew something was wrong. My nephew is 18 months old, and as of lately, was officially diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia this year. He has been in and out of the hospital this year for low platelet count to no platelet count at all, which is life-threatening in itself. He is getting platelet transfusions every 2-3 weeks and fighting fevers of up to 104 degrees. We had been waiting for a diagnosis for a while doing blood work and spinal taps and aspirations. He needs a bone marrow transplant. We found a match! It was his sister who is 7 years old who will also undergo a big surgery where she to will be intubated to help her little brother fight this condition. She to will be in recovery for about a week.
As a child he doesn't know the severity of his illness and often uses the hospital bed as his play pen. He is so used to the hospital setting that nothing phases him anymore. But the parents know that with each visit comes emotional and physical strain from sleepless nights, crying for the health of your child and the unknowing of what the future holds for them as a family and as a parent.
This coming June is going to be a big month for them. They are finally going to do the bone marrow transplant! But as we know, insurance doesn't cover everything. The bills don't stop coming because your life is at a standstill, and you're having the hardest time of your life. Life goes on for everyone and you feel like you are stuck almost drowing with uncertainty first for your child, then for the worries and trauma, your kids might face in the future. To add insult to injury the worries of medical bills are starting to pile up, then you have to take into account your regular bills that you have on top of that. As a parent our job is to be strong and protect our children but what do we do when you are faced with the possibility that your child is going to get surgery, start chemotherapy and all you can do is wait and see what the body will do or how it will react. We are left feeling helpless.
So I am creating this page as a means of some financial help to lessen the burden of everything going on for them. This go fund me page will help with medical expenses, traveling to Houston and having to find a place to stay while they are still conducting more exams before he gets admitted to the hospital for his bone marrow transplant, to help out with regular bills at home when they won't be there. After his bone marrow transplant, he is expected to stay in Houston for about 3- 6 months for closer observation and chemotherapy treatments. So I ask all family, friends and everyone if they have it in their hearts to help my brother and his family out with donations. I know times are hard for everyone right now, and i understand if donations cannot be given, but I will also greatly appreciate prayers.
May god bless all of you and many thank yous in advance.
