Establish a New Realist Art Gallery and Studio
Donation protected
Hi Everyone, Michael and Audra Pianta—two realist painters who have found a wonderful place to finally plant creative roots in East Machias, Maine. After years of working in shared or makeshift spaces, we’ve discovered a beautiful, remote location surrounded by nature where we can build something lasting: a combined gallery, teaching studio, and working space for large-scale realist art. We envision a peaceful retreat where artists and students can come or connect online to learn, create, and reconnect with beauty and art far from the rush of daily life. This space will be a home not just for our work, but for a growing community of people who believe in the value of skill, patience, and artistic tradition.
We're almost there—but we need a little help to make it real. The cost of moving to this remote location is much higher than expected, and we're also hoping to fund a professional gallery sign so we can proudly open our doors to the public. If you’ve ever supported our work, studied with us, or just want to be part of something creative and meaningful, we’d be so grateful for your support. Every donation—big or small—helps us take this final step toward building a space where realist art can grow and thrive.
Your donation will help us:
Cover the high cost of relocating ourselves and our equipment to the new space
Commission and install a beautiful, durable sign for the gallery and studio
Finish preparing the studio for teaching and painting
Have time to establish an online presence for the gallery, studio, and art lessons and lectures.
We so appreciate your involvement in our new art adventure! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
