On June 27th, 2025, our very dear friends Miriam and Aaron received devastating news: their adorable 2-year-old son, Ronan, has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a fast-moving blood cancer that requires immediate and intensive treatment.

Ronan is a bright, joyful little boy who loves Mario (he has been watching the Mario movie on almost continual repeat) and playing with his older brothers and sister. His laughter lights up every room. Now, he faces a tough journey filled with hospital stays, chemotherapy, and countless doctor visits over the next 2–3 years.

While his parents focus on keeping their son healthy and strong, the financial burden is overwhelming. Between medical bills, travel to appointments, missed work, and everyday expenses, they need help. That’s why I’m starting this fundraiser to reach out on their behalf.

How I Know the Family:

Miriam and I met as roommates in college and through our shared love of studying Japanese, we quickly became very close friends. We even had the opportunity to live together when studying abroad in Japan. I now live a great distance away from her so I created this fundraiser as a way to help without needing to be local.

仲良しの姉や兄たちと遊ぶ彼の笑い声は、部屋中を明るく照らします。

しかし2025年6月、ロナン君は急性リンパ性白血病（ALL）と診断されてしまいました。

これは進行の速い血液癌で、緊急かつ集中的な治療が必要です。

ロナン君はまだ2歳という若さで、今後の数年間、厳しい化学療法を受けながら、数え切れないほどの入退院をくり返すという、過酷な道のりに直面しています。

ご両親はロナン君の回復のため尽力していますが、経済的な負担は計り知れません。

アメリカは国民皆保険制度がなく、日本の数倍の医療費がかかります。

高額な医療費にあわせ、通院のための交通費や、4人の子供を育てる日々の生活費など、彼らは心から支援を必要としています。
