Gracias a Dios logró recuperarse y estabilizarse.

My Aunt Antonia Cornejo is the eldest of four siblings. From a very young age, she carried an enormous responsibility: when my grandmother passed away and her youngest sister was just a baby, Antonia became almost like a mother to them. With love, effort, and sacrifice, she cared for them and helped raise them.
In August 2025, she was admitted to the hospital in the United States, where she has lived for many years. By God’s grace, she was able to recover and stabilize. With the hope of spending Christmas and New Year’s in her homeland, she traveled to El Salvador while still in recovery and intending to continue her medical follow-ups there.
Sadly, this week her health deteriorated critically. Doctors have informed us that she is in a very delicate condition: she is suffering from a severe infection that has led to septic shock, affecting multiple organs. She currently requires specialized intensive care, continuous medications to sustain her vital signs, and treatments that only a high-complexity hospital can provide.
For this reason, she was transferred from Hospital Bautista to Hospital Avante, where she remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
We are doing everything possible to stabilize her and give her the best chance, but medical expenses have risen rapidly and continue to increase each day due to the complexity of her care.
Today it is our turn to stand by her and support her. Any financial help, no matter the amount, assists us in covering hospitalization, medications, and medical care. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign is also a very meaningful way to help.
Thank you for reading, for standing with us, and for keeping Antonia in your thoughts and prayers.
