Esperanza nos necesita

Hola, soy María Esperanza Celis Pérez, de 65 años de edad, les hago llegar un saludo lleno de paz, esperanza y fe. Quiero contarte sobre la situación que me hace escribir estas líneas, siempre me he caracterizado por asumir mi vida de forma sana, la vida normal de una madre soltera, siempre trabajando duro y velando siempre por el bienestar de mi familia, actuando de manera responsable como trabajadora, ama de casa, madre, abuela, tía y amiga.

A mediados del año 2021, inicie con una incomodidad en la parte rectal, la cual me imposibilitaba sentarme, acostarme, solo con el apoyo de almohadas entre mis piernas y de soporte lograba hacerlo; inicie la exploración diagnostica acudiendo a diferentes consultas médicas a la medida de las posibilidades a nivel de entidades públicas.

Primeramente, fui valorada por un médico internista quien luego de escuchar mi odisea y antecedentes médicos de hemorroides, hipertensión arterial, estreñimiento que anteriormente no padecía, llega a la conclusión de presunta crisis hemorroidal, por lo que indica tratamiento para dicha patológica y controlar el estreñimiento. En vista de que el tratamiento indicado no dio los resultados de mejoría alguna, por recomendación de una médico amiga me indicó a acudir a consulta ginecológica para descartar un posible rectocele y/o cistocele, debido a que ya comenzaba a presentar dificultad para orinar y dolor en la uretra. Luego de la valoración ginecológica y para evidenciar la posibilidad o no del prolapso, este diagnóstico fue descartado a través de examen ultrasónico pélvico y transvaginal, por lo que me refiere a interconsulta con Cirugía general de urgencia, el medico me indicó, la realización de un estudio especializado ecograma 360°, el cual no fue realizado por falta de recursos económicos al ser este muy costoso. En virtud de que los síntomas de estreñimiento y la imposibilidad para orinar se agudizaban, recurrí a una segunda opinión médica con medicina internista. Esta medico luego de escuchar mí relato y los síntomas presentados reviso todos los resultados de los exámenes e informes médicos anteriormente realizados, llegando a la conclusión según su impresión diagnóstica, sospecha la existencia de pólipos, remitiéndome con carácter de urgencia a interconsulta con Gastroenterología. A la brevedad posible fui valorada y la especialista realizó una exhaustiva valoración y tacto rectal, palpando un protuberancia endurecida y de gran tamaño, por lo que recomienda realizar estudios diagnósticos especializados como exámenes especiales de Orina, TAC de Abdomen y Pelvis, videogastrocolonoscopia con toma de biopsias. Los resultados arrojados indicaron la existencia de una tumoración de índole maligna siendo este un ADENOCARCINOMA DE RECTO BAJO MODERADAMENTE DIFERENCIADO INVASIVO Y ULCERADO, que obstruía el 70% del canal rectal y del lumen del ano, haciendo compresión hacia la vagina.

De esta manera fui remitida a oncología y a coloproctologia, para determinar criterio y seguimiento del caso. La consulta del proctólogo fue exonerada con la colaboración de un medico amigo quien obtuvo la cortesía del especialista y gracias a la bondad de otra persona, pude obtener una consulta a través de labor social en el Hospital Coromoto por vía de excepción, donde la oncólogo me solicito los exámenes de Marcadores Tumorales e indicó Esquema de 30 radioterapias concordantes con 30 días de quimioterapia simultáneas, el cual fue cumplido satisfactoriamente gracias al gran corazón de las personas que me rodean, quienes me apoyaron con los insumos y medicamentos que fueron necesarios obtener por las complicaciones ocasionadas en mis vías digestivas, las cuales debieron ser tratadas con tratamientos endovenosos complementados con tratamiento oral para fortalecer mi sistema inmune e hidratación parenteral.

Actualmente y ante la situación económica que atraviesa el país, el salario de mi única hija no es suficiente para los gastos de medicinas, comida, colegió, útiles e innumerables gastos que ocasionados por todo este proceso de atención de mi salud.

Es por ello acudo a ustedes, personas de buen corazón y de gran nobleza, a mis amigos, familiares y a quienes no me conocen en este momento, para continuar con esta batalla requiero iniciar un nuevo protocolo de seguimiento contra este terrible “invasor”; de un nuevo tratamiento que corresponde a la segunda fase de quimioterapias, estos medicamentos son incomprables para mí, ya que como les comenté no cuento con los recursos, En la farmacia oncológica que provee a través del Instituto público, están agotados y el tiempo corre y necesito a la brevedad iniciar el tratamiento, el tiempo es esencial e implacable, ya que de ello dependerá la programación de la Cirugía Oncológica correspondiente a cirugía Laparoscopia exploradora + Resección abdominoperianal (Colostomía total e irreversible), lo que implica gastos e insumos, tratamientos e incluso la cirugía que aleatoriamente es practicada en entes públicos, los que no cuentan con material médico quirúrgicos y actualmente existe una lista innumerable de espera para la utilización de los escasos quirófanos y de médicos cirujanos especializados. Por lo que se hace casi imposible realizar en un hospital público.

Since the symptoms of constipation and the inability to urinate were getting worse, I resorted to a second medical opinion with internal medicine. This doctor, after listening to my story and the symptoms presented, reviewed all the results of the tests and medical reports previously carried out, reaching the conclusion, according to her diagnostic impression, she suspects the existence of polyps, urgently referring me to an interconsultation with Gastroenterology. As soon as possible, I was assessed and the specialist performed an exhaustive assessment and digital rectal examination, palpating a large hardened lump, for which she recommended specialized diagnostic studies such as special urine tests, CT scans of the Abdomen and Pelvis, video gastrocolonoscopy with biopsies. The results obtained indicated the existence of a malignant tumor, this being a MODERATELY DIFFERENTIATED INVASIVE AND ULCERATED ADENOCARCINOMA OF THE LOWER RECTUM, which obstructed 70% of the rectal canal and the lumen of the anus, causing compression towards the vagina.

In this way I was referred to oncology and coloproctology, to determine criteria and follow-up of the case. The proctologist's consultation was waived with the collaboration of a doctor friend who obtained the courtesy of the specialist and thanks to the kindness of another person, I was able to obtain a consultation through social work at the Coromoto Hospital by way of exception, where the oncologist I request the Tumor Marker tests and indicated a Scheme of 30 concordant radiotherapies with 30 days of simultaneous chemotherapy, which was satisfactorily completed thanks to the great hearts of the people around me, who supported me with the supplies and medications that were necessary to obtain for the complications caused in my digestive tract, which had to be treated with intravenous treatments complemented with oral treatment to strengthen my immune system and parenteral hydration

Currently and given the economic situation that the country is going through, my only daughter's salary is not enough for the expenses of medicines, food, school, supplies and innumerable expenses caused by this entire process of my health care.

That is why I turn to you, people of good heart and great nobility, to my friends, family and those who do not know me at this time, to continue this battle I need to initiate a new monitoring protocol against this terrible "invader"; of a new treatment that corresponds to the second phase of chemotherapies, these medicines are incomparable for me, since as I told you I do not have the resources, In the oncology pharmacy that it provides through the public Institute, they are out of stock and time is running out and I need to start treatment as soon as possible, time is essential and relentless, since the programming of the Oncological Surgery corresponding to exploratory laparoscopy + abdominoperianal resection (total and irreversible colostomy) will depend on it, which implies expenses and supplies, treatments and even surgery that is randomly performed in public entities, which do not have surgical medical equipment and currently there is an innumerable waiting list for the use of the few operating rooms and specialized surgeons. So it is almost impossible to perform in a public hospital.
