Medical Recovery

Hey everyone,

On Thursday August 3,2023 my mom Tammy was rushed to Gcmc. She ended up being rushed into the OR for Emergency Abdominal Surgery. A little back story.. She was at the Gcmc ER 3 times in 2 weeks for severe abdominal pain and was sent home with laxatives telling her she would be fine. On Thursday, I called to check in on her and she was crying in pain barely able to speak. After a Ct scan in the ER we found out that her intestines had twisted and she had a perforated bowel. Since surgery her heath has declined. Her Blood pressure wouldn’t stabilize so they gave her massive amounts of iv fluids and medications to stable it. Due to the amount of fluid she became fluid overloaded and the fluid went to her lungs. Between the emergency surgery, the long hospital stay, physical therapy, home health and long road ahead of her for recovery. Our mom has been out of work the last 2 weeks while trying to figure out what was going on with her and will continue to be out of work while she recovers. We ask that you could keep our mom in your prayers so she can get back to enjoying life with our dad, grandchildren and children. Funds raised will alleviate the burden of being out of work while she recovers and the multiple medical bills.
