Saving my friend Raghad and her family from slow death
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Melissa, and I'm from Seville, Spain. I'm organizing this fundraising campaign for my friend Raghad, who lives in Gaza. This campaign aims to help her and her family rebuild their lives, as well as provide for any needs they may have at this time.
In one of the northern neighborhoods of Gaza that has become a ghost town, lives the Raghd family, a simple family of eight, struggling daily to survive amidst the ashes, hunger, fear, cold, and relentless explosions.
Who are they?
Raghds Father (60 years old): He worked as a tailor in a small shop. He lost his job and his right hand in a bombing that targeted the nearby market.
Raghds Mother (54 years old): A caring mother who tries to keep her children alive with a piece of bread and reassuring words to hide her tears.
Hazem (26 years old): The eldest son, he dreamed of becoming a groom. Now he can't walk because of shrapnel that pierced his knee.
Mohammed (24 years old): His lifelong dream was to graduate from university with honors, but the war came and the universities were bombed, shattering his simple dream.
Raghad (20 years old):My freind The innocent girl whose dreams, her lifelong dream, and the memories of her beautiful room were all shattered after her home was bombed.
Yousef (12 years old): The eldest child, who dreamed of becoming an engineer. Now he can't walk because of shrapnel that pierced his knee.
Salma (9 years old): She used to love drawing, but now she only draws scenes of bombing and destruction. She no longer speaks, just stares in silence.
Adam (7 years old): A toddler who can't distinguish between the sound of toys and explosions. He hasn't tasted milk for months.
What happened to them?
In the middle of the night one March, a rocket fell on the residential neighborhood while they were sleeping.
No one died, but they were reborn as refugees with nothing.
They left barefoot, terrified, carrying only their IDs and their nightgowns.
Their house was completely burned down. There was no bed, no blanket, no children's photos, and no toys left.
They spent their first night on the street, then moved to a temporary shelter with nothing but a tattered roof and dirt floor.
️ How are they living now?
They share a tent with three other families.
They sleep on damp blankets.
They survive on one meal a day, usually lentils or dry rice.
They don't have access to clean water or a private bathroom.
Youssef needs urgent surgery or will lose his ability to walk.
Salma needs urgent psychological support sessions due to the shock.
Adam is severely malnourished and has no access to medication.
An Unforgettable Photo
Salma was photographed sitting in the rubble of their home, holding a burned doll and staring into space, as if looking at a homeland that no longer exists.

Why do we need your support?
We are launching this campaign to raise emergency funds for the Raghads family to provide:
Medical and surgical treatment for Youssef
Milk and food for their youngest child
Winter clothing, blankets, and heating equipment
Psychological support for the three children
Temporary alternative housing to protect them from the rain, cold, and scorching summer sun
Raghads mother words:
"My son asks me every night: 'Mama, when are we going home?'
And I don't have an answer.
I just hug him and cry after he falls asleep."
