Hello Whoville - past, present and future.
It is with a heavy heart for me to say that Stefan Karl, our beloved Grinch, was recently diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer, also known as Cholangiocarcinoma.
He received surgery on October 4th, 2016 to remove the cancer from his body. Luckily, the best news is that the cancer has not spread to other parts of his body.
Currently, he at a hospital in Iceland with frequent visits by his family - resting and preparing for chemo.
The money I am attempting to raise is to help his wife Steinna with any and all expenses that will come with this difficult shift in their lives. Usually around this time of year, they are packing their bags to fly to America to join us in the holidays. Now, most of their time will be dedicated to helping Stefan get back on his feet.
Expenses will help cover food, babysitting the children, living expenses and will make up for Stefan unable to join tour this year.
We all have been touched by Stefan. Whoville would not be where it is now if he had not been an amazing Grinch, leader and friend to all of our productions.
Let's gather together and help Stefan, Steinna, and his four children, Briet, Elin, Julia and Thor.
