Help Esme attend the National Youth Theatre

Hiya! My name is Esme, I am 19 years old and have recently been accepted into the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, one of the most prestigious youth theatres in the country. I’ve dreamed of applying since I was about 12, but the financial barriers have not made it possible. I decided that this year I’d just go for it, and I was absolutely thrilled to have received a place!!

To join NYT you have to be accepted onto a two-week residential summer intake course after an audition and recall process: I am hoping to attend this course in Northampton this August! Unfortunately, I still can’t afford to go; I’m currently a second year Actor-Musician student at Guildford School of Acting and completely self-funded, having to work two jobs on top of a 30-hour drama school week to be able to afford to study here. The NYT course fees, travel, accommodation and living costs, as well as still having to pay rent/bills for my house in Guildford over summer, are too much for me to be able to cover. I decided to start this page to try and fundraise some money so I can afford to follow my dreams and carry on training :)
