Brighten the day of a child!

Hello! I am the new principal of an elementary school in MN. Our school is small, which we love, but it's harder for small schools to get funding. We have all the curriculum items we need for now, but there is little left over for small things that can brighten a child's day.

I am looking to see if I can raise enough money to start a Birthday Celebration Day. We would purchase small birthday trinkets for our students ... Every student, on their birthday, would get a small birthday hat (they can wear all day), a small birthday prize they can choose from the "birthday bucket" and a certificate with their name on it. It doesn't sound like a lot, but, as you know, kids will LOVE it, making them feel special on their special day!

This money isn't only for birthdays but will be part of a fund to help fund small celebration gifts/treats for students throughout the year.

Once I start this Birthday Celebration, I will continue looking for other ways to fund this yearly.
