My twin brother has always been a goofball with a heart of gold. In any situation, he would always be the one to say something funny or ridiculous to make people laugh, and he would do a lot for anyone who needed help. These days, however, he is finding it hard to see the positive side of anything anymore. Cameron and his wife Megan are in dire need of help, and I hope you can read on to hear their story.

Cameron married Megan in August 2019. In March of 2020, they bought their first home and planned to start a family. Around this time, Megan got the terrible news that her father had cancer. As time passed, the couple dealt with multiple miscarriages and the eventual passing of her father. Not long after, my 32-year-old brother was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma, a very rare and aggressive form of skin cancer. After surgeries and radiation, we had hope that the cancer was gone. Megan and Cameron focused on building a family and started the process of IVF as Cameron’s radiation made conception by natural means impossible. During this process, a considerable landslide took out half of their backyard in their new home, along with the sewer line, making the house uninhabitable. Despite talks with attorneys, state representatives, borough officials, insurance companies and the local news, they were unable to find any way to fund the repairs, which could cost anywhere from $150,000- $250,000. While dealing with this new obstacle, we got the devastating news that my brother’s cancer had metastasized to his heart. He is now undergoing immunotherapy and radiation to his heart as a last resort. While Cameron and Megan are dealing with round after round of the worst possible luck, they have found that their 4-year-old rescue dog, Quincy, also has cancer. While they look into avenues for tackling this new problem, they spend their days working, attending endless doctor appointments, worrying about the growing pile of bills, problem-solving ways to fix their housing situation, and agonizing over their future as a family.

This GoFundMe page is one of the few ways I could think to help with such impossible problems. If you can donate, my family and I would be eternally grateful for it. I cannot imagine a world without my goofball brother, and I would do anything right now to give him something to smile about. Words cannot express how much it means to me that you would take the time to read this and help in any way you can. Thank you.

ALL proceeds will go to Cameron and Megan.
